Ready. Aim. Fire!

Regular readers will know that Rex absolutely LOVES his little pink tent. (So much so that he has two!). He's very protective of it and hates it when either Rocky or Rambo try to use it. Rambo has learnt that he will be beaten up if he dares enter the tent. So he goes nowhere near it.

Rocky knows he will suffer a similar fate. But he doesn't care. In fact, Rocky loves to annoy the hell out of Rex by disturbing him when he's enjoying the serenity of his pink sanctuary (as this series of pictures shows). Rex is in the tent. Rocky is on the attack.

Rex loves the finer things in life

Little Kitten Rex does love the finer things in life. So he's very happy with the fresh bunch of flowers that appear each week. In fact, his favourite spot is right next to a fresh bunch of blooms. Possibly, this is because he understands what makes up a beautiful visual aesthetic. Clever kitteh!

Kitteh Meow Fail!

How adorable are these kittens?

I hope you enjoy this video of these four-week old kittens from Aaralyn Cattery - not far from where Rex, Rocky and Rambo live. They are the same breed as Rex and Rocky!

Meet our neighbour's new furry baby

Rex, Rocky and Rambo and thrilled that the cuteness quotient of this building has just gone up a notch. The arrival of Princess Binky - a Tibetan spaniel - is causing a stir throughout the neighbourhood.

Princess Binky comes with an entire wardrobe of fabulous clothes. Check out the geisha outfit above! We think her name is gorgeous but, interestingly, a resident of her unit has decided he won't call her Binky - and will heretofore refer to her as "Stephanie"! Go figure.

Rambo's new outfit

Well, Rambo does have plenty of outfits. You'd be forgiven for thinking that he's styled by Rachel Zoe. However, this one is particularly special. It was given to him by our wonderful neighbours who went on a trip to Thailand and returned with fabulous tans and a gorgeous addition to his wardrobe.

If you can't make it out in the picture, it's a cute singlet top with denim jeans on the bottom.

Groucho's Great Australian Novel

Ever since Groucho spied the Macbook Air, he has been finding excuses to use it. So now he's in the process of tapping out the Great Australian Novel.

 
But like many an author who has trodden this path before him, inspiration can be lacking at times.

We are happy to report that these times are few and far between. So watch out at your local book store soon for what is destined to be the next pooch-inspired Harry Potter.

My brother and my dad

My brother Boogle lives with our Dad (and our mum and aunty) in Sydney. Here is a video of Boogle and my Dad fighting.

Thank God I'm a country boy

There was a young doggie called Groucho 
Who loved to play in the grass
He'd go in 5km races
And make sure he never came last

His cuddles were quite legendary
As he curled up next to his Dad
He was always cheeky and playful
And never knew how to be sad

But Groucho harboured a secret
A passion his Dad never knew
He wanted to be a big singer
A country crooner just singing the blues

Groucho loved when his Dad played the radio
He thought it was such a gift
To sing with Johnny and Willie and Keith
And do back up for Taylor Swift

When his Dad's not looking, he's singing
In the paddocks, the house and the car
There's no doubt it won't be long before Groucho
Is Australia's next country super star.

Ode to Rex, Rocky and Rambo

There was a young kitten called Rex
Who arrived at this home one day
He was tiny and fluffy and white
And liked when his mum went away

Although he loved her so much
Kitten Rex also liked his alone time
So when she would go to her work
Rex would feel totally fine

But his mum thought he might be lonely
So she searched high and low for a brother
That's when Rocky then joined the family
But to Rex he was just such a bother

It took a whole year before Rex
Would welcome him into the fold
But now they are like true blood brothers
Together they're a sight to behold

Then one day a new white addition
Came trembling into the door
Little Rambo arrived in their home
And proceeded to crap all over the floor

This stressed out poor Rex and Rocky
Who would then pull him into line
But it didn't take too much longer
For Rambo to fit in just fine

To their mum, these three gorgeous boys
Who all seem sent from above
Are perfect and bring her such joy
And her heart is just so full of love.

 

Mexican cousins Dougal and Groucho

South of the border ...
Down Mexico way ...
Live two little doggies 
Who just love to play

Dougal and Groucho
Live on a big farm
There are no horses or cows
Just a big old wood barn

First came young Dougal
He loved the serenity
Then little Groucho
And his cheeky identity

They grew to love
The golf balls and old cars
Though surrounded by woods
They would never go far 

They made friends with the chickens
Called Sophie and Emma
But when they were asleep
A fox took them forever

The boys were so sad
They cried a whole day
But then their Dad
Said the chooks were okay

He said Emma and Sophie
Had gone to chook heaven
They could play there all day
Even past seven

Now Groucho and Dougal
Still play near the barn
They love that they're brothers
On their big peaceful farm.
