Submissions open for Going Down Swinging

If you're an aspiring writer, I highly encourage you to submit your writing to literary journals like Going Down Swinging and Wetink (see previous blog posts). If you are attending a course here at the Sydney Writers' Centre, you can check out copies of both these publications here.

Both publications feature more than just writing - for example, Wetink often features photography. In the May-June 2007 issue of Going Down Swinging, the focus is on spoken word.

Here is some information from the editors:

GDS 25 will feature the best of new spoken word from Australia and around the world in a special double-CD pack.

Submissions of spoken word tracks for 25 are now open, and we've extended the deadline to
April 1st, 2007.

To send us your work, you need to fill in a CD submission form, which is at the website, and post us your track/s on CD - we'll listen to up to 3 tracks.

All the details and the fine print and etcetera can be found at our website which is www.goingdownswinging.org.au.

Email us at submissions@goingdownswinging.org.au if you've got any more questions.
