We have a copy of Catherine Jinks’s book The Secret Familiar – Confessions of an Inquisitor’s Spy to give away. This medieval murder msytery is Catherine's eighth adult novel and is released this month by Allen & Unwin.

Since summer is right around the corner, we’re running an Opening Paragraph Competition. Just write an opening paragraph to a short story or novel around the theme of summer.

The quirkiest and most compelling opening paragraph will win the book. Entries should be emailed to tracy@spindriftmedia.com.au by Friday 17 November and the winner will be announced in the next newsletter.
