There's a new e-zine being produced to recognise the works of young Australian writers. It's called Write On.
As you know, I think that it's really important to try and get published. If you want to work (and get paid) as a writer, then you need to ensure you are pro-active about getting your work in front of eyeballs. This might be a good option.
Here's what their website says:
Write On is an innovative literary e-zine focused on promoting the unrecognized talent of young Australian writers. By publishing only the best work young writers have to offer, we hope Write On will become the most reputable electronic publication around.
We also hope to be producing hard copies of Write On by late 2007. Right now, we are seeking submissions for our first edition, to be issued in August 2006. Unlike other e-zines, Write On is not genre specific and we are interested in all styles of prose and poetry. If you write anything, from horror to comedy, romance to science fiction, we want to see your work!
Submissions are open to anyone between the age of 18 and 30. Short stories should be between 2000 and 5000 words and poems should be limited to 100 lines. Write On is a monthly publication so we are continually seeking new stories and articles for future publications For more information go to our submissions page.
