For those of you who love travelling, this could be your chance to start a career where you get paid to go on your adventures!
Discovery Travel & Living is looking for five candidates from Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia to participate in season three of their global series, 5 Takes.
The selected candidates will be given their own digital camera and sent on a 10-week trip to an undisclosed region. While on the road, each travel journalist must create video logs and blogs about their experiences, for broadcast not only on international television, but also via the internet and mobile phones.
So if you are over 20 years old, have an innate sense of adventure and a boss willing to let you roam the world for 10 weeks, you’re eligible to apply for one of these coveted spots. To enter, visit www.5takes.com, click “Join 5 Takes” on the left hand side and fill out the short application form.
The 5 Takes project capitalises on the real-time advantages of internet/television convergence, allowing viewers to have their say on where the journalists go and do. According to Discovery Travel & Living, the new season will screen on Discovery Travel & Living at the end of 2006 and will be accessible to millions of television viewers and internet users in 14 countries throughout Australia, Asia and the United States.
Applications are open now and will be accepted until July 31. For more information go to: www.5takes.com
